I am looking for a good Lotion to use on sore muscles but, not a
painkiller. What type of oils or lotion do you use? I am looking for
something that can be used everyday so, not a painkiller or a
Analgesic just something to help soothe stiff muscles.

TIA

Lotion for massage, or lotion to put on aching muscles from giving massage?

Biotone makes an herbal select oil which contains arnica and other herbs
for sore muscles. It's opaque so kinda looks like a lotion, but acts
like an oil. Arnica cream is good to use on achey muscles, and I just
discovered Traumeel which has arnica and other herbs and also works an
an anti-inflammatory.

All the Arnica creams I found on the web warn you not to use it more
then 3 times a day? Arnica seems more like a powerful
anti-inflammatory than just something to relax sore muscles? Is there
a warning label on the Arnica cream you use?

As far as application, it says apply 2-3 times a day or `as needed'.
There's the usual warning that if a rash develops, discontinue use, if
pain persists for more than 5 days, redness or swelling appears or new
symptoms occur, see a doctor. That's on The Rub, from NatraBio. The
Trameel has similar warnings. Contraindications are for hypersensitivity
to any of its ingredients (there are a lot of herbs and homeopathics in
it) and a warning about side effects due to an allergic skin reaction.

Seems like using 2-3 times a day is just a suggestion, but not a warning
to not use it more often.

Aroma Seiz from Young Living Essential Oils is a blend specifically for
rubbing on muscles. It's a blend of basil, marjoram, lavender,
peppermint and cypress. You can mix it with a carrier oil, but I
prefer to apply directly on skin. (Test a small area first to make
sure you can tolerate. Most non-theraputic grade oils will "sting" -
but some people are sensitive to even therapeutic grade. I'm not - nor
are most of my clients.)

For a real treat, consider the Raindrop kit from Young Living. It's
about $100 and includes 2 massage oils and 9 essential oils including
Aroma Seiz along with an instructional video. Anyone can learn to do
the Raindrop Technique - share it with someone you love!
